Direct TV Emulation
The word "emulation" put simply, is the act of imitating another.
Software looks and acts
just like the H card, and convinces the receiver that it
is a valid H card.
Its purpose is to protect the expensive H Card if Direct TV were to ever send a killer attack.
As a result, just the
software on a cheap floppy disk could be potentially damaged rather than the
H Card.
This is why emulation is so
attractive to DirecTV hackers.
What is Direct TV Emulation?
It is a device
that enables people to modify access cards to steal DIRECTV's signals
without paying for them.
An emulator uses the capabilities of
personal computers to mimic the functions of an access card.
Emulators connect to computers running software that grants
unauthorized access to channels.
Emulator Card
If you already have your own HU Programmer then an Emulator Card is
good to go since they are good for spare and testing.
HU Emulator Card is connecting one end to the computer or cube box and
then slide the emulator card into the receiver card slot and start
rolling (but off-course you need to run some kind of software from
your computer or cube box).
However, you do need the Emulator
Programmer to slide your card into it and plug the other end to the
pc as well. This process was good and known to protect your card
from ECM and burning.
Beside shutting down the computer or
logging out the computer - your kids can NOT watch television at
all - unless you open it from your computer.
