Direct TV Dish

There are two different dishes that you may select on each DIRECTV System. It is important that you select the best one for you.

Selecting the right dish for your DIRECTV System

Triple LNB Dish

Direct TV Dish Tipple Dish

The Direct TV Triple LNB Dish (also known as the Multi-Sat, Phase three dish or the 18" x 20" dish) offers the most flexibility for advanced offerings and future enhancements.

Choose a triple LNB dish if you'd like:

  • Local channels in any area served by Direct TV.NOTE: There are some where a Triple LNB dish is required to receive Local Channel Programming.
  • If you live in one of these areas, you will need to make sure your system has the Triple LNB or you can purchase the Triple LNB Upgrade.
  • HDTV Programming - now or in the future.
  • Spanish Language Programming LI>Future-readiness for Direct TV upgrades.

Dual LNB Dish

The Direct TV Dual LNB Dish is a standard entry-level satellite dish antenna that will work for most customers unless they live in a market that requires the Triple LNB Dish.

Choose a dual LNB dish if you'd like:

  • Local channels in the majority of the served by Direct TV.
  • Basic service only.
  • Economical price.
